TravisWolff welcomes spring interns

DALLAS, Feb. 11, 2010 – TravisWolff is pleased to welcome seven new tax, assurance and marketing interns for the spring semester.

Akbar Dewani, who has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of the Incarnate Word and will graduate in May 2011 with a master’s degree in accounting, is the new tax intern in San Antonio. Also joining the San Antonio office as an assurance intern is Matthew O’Connor who graduated from Texas State University in December 2009 with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accountancy.

The Dallas office also welcomes several new spring interns. Ramiro Camacho is a tax intern in the Enterprise Group. Camacho has a bachelor’s degree in finance and received a master’s in accounting in December 2009 from the University of Texas at Arlington. Paul Xiao, who will be working as a tax intern for the Entrepreneurs Group, also graduated in December 2009 with a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. Lauren Dower will be working with the Enterprise Group as an assurance intern. Dower received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University and will graduate in May 2011 with a master’s in accounting from the University of North Texas. Allison Ecklund, a student graduating from Southern Methodist University in May 2010 with a bachelor’s of business administration in accounting, will be working as a tax intern in the Individuals Group. Katie Horner, who began working at TravisWolff in October 2009, will continue her marketing internship until she graduates from Southern Methodist University with a bachelor’s in advertising this May.

The tax and assurance interns participated in a week-long training and will gain hands-on client experience working with all levels of the firm. More information about TravisWolff internships can be found here.
